Runaway

I walked into the stable and sighed deeply the fresh scent of horses and hay drifted through the  stable giving it a welcoming feeling.
I slowly walked down the aisle deep in my own thoughts. Would Argo be happy to see me?, I shuddered at the thought of Argo rearing at the sight of me. Finally I reached Argo and casanova's stall, the one right down the end on the right hand side.I stopped, unlocked the door and stepped in. Casanova looked at me with  they look in her eye that told me Argo
  isn't in here.

I rushed out and asked Aunty  Lucy where he was but Auntie Lucy seemed as surprised as I was "he was safe and sound last night with his mother, Catlyn don't fret he'll be fine" she replied softly.
I ran inside and started photocopying a million  lost horse posters and went round the whole rural area even  into town, I was out for about 3 hours and aunt Lucy was getting worried.

When I finally got home I was completely tired out, I grabbed a cookie from the bench on my way past to my room and flopped down on my bed.
Several hours later I awoke to sound of  a door creaking  open and unbalanced clip pity, clop pity footsteps down the hall, the footsteps weren't human footsteps. They grew louder and louder and then they stopped. I turned around and there poking his head round my bedroom door was ARGO!!

I was shocked and surprised,I scrambled up and ran to the door. Argo ran toward the front door and I followed,he was racing out the door and through the yard, I was confused, where oh where was he taking me?! I tried yelling his name but my voice got lost in the wind. It was a hot and humid day and an unusual ‘warm’ breeze. Beads of sweat were starting to form on my forehead, It was hard work keeping up with him.

But he kept on cantering on his uneven, spidery legs. Then  eventually coming to a stop next to the Old dam, he started to walk slowly and carefully down the slope, checking I was behind him with every step. It was only then when I realised he was taking me to the 'hut', this was the only thing I could think of. But when he got to the bottom of the dam he kept on going past the track up the hill to the 'hut' then disappearing down the valley. I was having to sprint to catch up and went the wrong way a few times but Argo realised and got me back on track, taking me to this mysterious  place.
