The Clown part 2

The next morning the mother walked into the boy's room and found him dead on the ground with a balloon beside him, and a note tied on it. The mum walked to the note and unfolded it, the note said, “You are next.” Mum was so scared and confused so she screwed up the note and threw it in the bin, and went down stairs to watch some t.v.

That night she was lying in her bed thinking if it was the clown. Suddenly she heard a very scary voice saying, “Would you like a balloon?” She thought that it was the t.v so she went downstairs and had a look in the living room but the t.v was off! She ran back into her room and hid under the bed but then she heard the same voice, “Would you like a balloon?” She wishes it was all a dream but it wasn't, it was real life. She ran to the boy's room and started to cry. As her tears fell down she heart footsteps coming from the door getting louder and LOUDER and LOUDER………..

The winter robber

By Charlotte Graham

Icy fingers gripped my arm in the darkness. This person picked me up then threw me back on my bed but I got a quick glance at him. He was dressed in full black with a beanie covering his entire face except his eyes and mouth. ROBBER! He walked out of the room and I heard noises of glass being thrown, smash and furniture being moved, creak and also a few little noises of stuff falling in a sack. ROBBER I thought once more.

The next morning I told the whole entire suburb. l told Sean, Amy and Tommy, Lil and Phill and Maddison and their parents and mine. We went looking around the suburb to find the robber’s house but there were no more houses but ours and there were no other suburbs in the quiet town we live in just some shops, some roads and a school. After another hour of searching for the house he might live in we met up again and decided to call it a night. We all told each other to stay awake or watch out for the robber, everyone agreed and we all went home and watched our backs for the rest of the night.
After a long night we all met up again to search for the actual robber since I knew what he looked like. We searched and searched and searched, we tried looking in the school, all the shops and even went to the next town to look but he was nowhere to be found. Where could he have gone? We all searched for another few hours and by the time it was 6:00pm we were all ready for bed but that wasn't happening because we had to watch our backs and guard our houses. We all couldn't believe it that we had searched for ten whole hours that day. After our huge big long chorus of wows and whoas we all went home and decided to search the next day.

It was our third and final day of searching and we were all
really determined to find the robber and certain we were going to. We searched for 3-4 hours when suddenly I spotted someone. He was standing by the open window of Maddison's house. He was also wearing the exact same clothes I saw. I pointed at him and yelled, "Get him, he's the Robber!”

Some of us chased to try and catch him while the parents called the police. The police arrived in 5 minutes and arrested the robber. Hurray we all felt safe.

The clown

Yay! My mum finally let me go to the carnival today, I'm so excited . We're driving in the car and we're 3 hours away so I decide to take a nap…

In my dream I think about what the carnival  is going to be like. I see all these rides and a Balloon stand with a clown behind it so I go up to the stand and buy a balloon then I eat some ice cream and go on some rides.

Wow!  We just arrived at the carnival and I'm really excited first we go on a really fun ride the we get a strawberry ice cream. Somehow it feels like my dream is coming to life. Then I see the balloon stand with the clown behind it! So I go up to the stand but the clown looked a bit mysterious and then he asked me in a very scary voice, “Would you like a balloon?”
I was so scared so I ran away. My mum chased after me and told me to get in the car to go home.

That night I couldn't get to sleep because I couldn't get that clown out of my mind. Then I heard the same voice saying, “ Would you like a balloon?”
Then I heard the door creak open... THEN THE CLOWN APPEARED WITH A KNIFE WITH BLOOD ON IT!

Runaway

By SHAYNA Early

As I watched I saw my show pony giving birth to a lovely colt, it was like having another birthday. As I waited patiently I remembered I was watching Casanova coming alive on the same day 3 years ago. When I bought her I knew that one day she would produce a wonderful foal. I moved Viking into the stall next to his off-spring. I walked inside and sat down, this foal needed a name. Finally I decided on "Argo". After tea I went out and checked on the newest arrival in our stables.

The next day I was doing the round of feeds when I heard a noise like a squeal. I turned around and saw Argo trying to climb out of the stall. I went over and took him, Casanova and Viking out to the front paddock where I could see them. I was excited about what this foal would achieve during its life. The next day I would start work with Argo.

When I woke up it suddenly hit me, who was the Sire? I got up and did the usual routine of feeds then I caught Argo and got him used to a halter and leading. For the next week Argo would be taught to lead, understand pressure and get used to people walking and running around him.

I was making dinner when the phone rang, I picked it up. By the end of the phone call I was going on a week long trek in the Kaimanawa ranges, helping with the 2012 muster and buying a horse. I was nervous but excited at the same time. Then I thought which horse would I ride? The trip was next Monday, in 4 days time I better get packing!!!

All week I was waiting for that moment, to hop into the car and drive to the Kaimanawa ranges. My Dream was finally coming true. I had had packed and unpacked a thousand times making sure I have everything I need for the trip. When I arrived I got allocated my horse, saddled up, put my pack in the lorry and joined the safety briefing. We were planned to leave at 9:00am, but we got delayed when one of the marshals pulled me over and asked me about the horse I was buying. When we finally left I was getting a any colour 5 year old stallion ,I don't know how I ended up with that (I just kept nodding as I couldn't hear him over the background noise of helicopters, lorries and other muster troops).

First we headed up the ridge track towards the hills. We rode in silence for awhile taking in
the scenes of natural NZ Landscape. There were at least 20 people on the trip, there were 4 teens(including me at 16), 4 usual musterers and about 12 adults, the rest of the musterers were either in the four wheel drives or the helicopters mustering the horses from the hills...

MY HIDDEN IDENTITY

Based on the novel Gold.

By Charlotte Graham ,
Hi I'm Harry , well not really,  if you want to find out why here is the story.

My name is Mary and I'm a girl. My father left me and my little brother Billy seven years ago. Billy and I were sad as we never got to know him. Now I want to find him. I gathered lots of Billy's clothes he needs to grow into as he is smaller than me and set off to the gold mine. My mum didn't know it was very nerve racking. I am now in Dunstan gold mine with a dream to find dad. I have to force myself not to scratch my hair braided at the top of my head  as I would show myself. I must keep the cap on my head and I'm dressed like a boy in a blue t-shirt, a brown jacket, camo pants and large boots that all belong to Billy. I have now become Harry.

😈Nightmare 😈

Swings creaking, doors slamming, I was terrified.

It was a dark gloomy night I was traveling down pavement when suddenly I saw through a shadow in a window...
I watched for a few seconds noticing that scream I heard before was my friend from next door. Still watching I saw this man covered in black I was puzzled?

I was petrified, swigs creaking behind me. I saw an opportunity to go inside so I did stepping through the door it suddenly slams behind me, a mysterious figure grabbed me from behind.

I heard another scream from under the stair case, I was willing to go and look but I couldn't because I was to busy getting taken away into this mysterious whole.

Can't talk, can't yell for help, my mouth was tied up but I was still screaming in my head. It was pitch black, the only thing I could see was these candles surrounding an awfully odd looking chair.
😩
I was fighting to get my hands free then again I heard that same terrifying
Scream...

Success

Not everyone gets it right the first time,

Success is unfortunately a difficult climb.

However for those who will just not lose hope,

Success will throw down a lifesaving rope.

Work hard.

Work smart.

And you will succeed,

The Don't follow the rest of the world take the lead.

Nicole panted slightly and let the slippery reins drop delicately through her quivering hands that now rested on Honey’s copper coat, the horse to was now trembling with anticipation.

Honey, Nicole's mare lowered her head and snorted of in what sounded like disbelief. Nicole couldn't believe it either a few quick minutes ago Honey and Nicole had put on a flawless near perfect round of Grand Prix showjumping, they had knocked no rails down which meant that they had gone clear with a swift time which put them in second place.

Nicole couldn't believe it because it had always been her dream even as she had lain in bed as a little girl to train a horse and turn it into a winning Grand Prix showjumping horse and her dream had come true a few years ago at Oakridge Stables where she boards her retired racehorse that became hers her riding instructor, Angela gave her a miserable little filly who became, Honey and she had at that time lost her mother at birth. From the moment Nicole saw her she fell in love with the ‘madam’ filly that Nicole knew would one day be a champion.

But that ‘madam’ mood that came back every so offen proved to be a bit of a problem for Nicole as Honey had proved that morning in the warm up arena when Nicole tried to go over some practice jumps,Honey had threw a bucking fit and promptly dumped Nicole onto the warm up arena floor Nicole wasn't injured but was just left embarrassed which was why Nicole was in such disbelief about Honey’s out of the blue, spectacular performance in the arena that morning.

Now because they were second place only one competitor, the Dutch rider and his striking chestnut stallion stood in their way of first place in the jump off, it would be tricky to beat them, they hadn't put a foot wrong all day. . .

Nicole took a deep breath, ”C’mon, girl, let's show them what we can do.”
