Runaway

I walked into the stable and sighed deeply the fresh scent of horses and hay drifted through the  stable giving it a welcoming feeling.
I slowly walked down the aisle deep in my own thoughts. Would Argo be happy to see me?, I shuddered at the thought of Argo rearing at the sight of me. Finally I reached Argo and casanova's stall, the one right down the end on the right hand side.I stopped, unlocked the door and stepped in. Casanova looked at me with  they look in her eye that told me Argo
  isn't in here.

I rushed out and asked Aunty  Lucy where he was but Auntie Lucy seemed as surprised as I was "he was safe and sound last night with his mother, Catlyn don't fret he'll be fine" she replied softly.
I ran inside and started photocopying a million  lost horse posters and went round the whole rural area even  into town, I was out for about 3 hours and aunt Lucy was getting worried.

When I finally got home I was completely tired out, I grabbed a cookie from the bench on my way past to my room and flopped down on my bed.
Several hours later I awoke to sound of  a door creaking  open and unbalanced clip pity, clop pity footsteps down the hall, the footsteps weren't human footsteps. They grew louder and louder and then they stopped. I turned around and there poking his head round my bedroom door was ARGO!!

I was shocked and surprised,I scrambled up and ran to the door. Argo ran toward the front door and I followed,he was racing out the door and through the yard, I was confused, where oh where was he taking me?! I tried yelling his name but my voice got lost in the wind. It was a hot and humid day and an unusual ‘warm’ breeze. Beads of sweat were starting to form on my forehead, It was hard work keeping up with him.

But he kept on cantering on his uneven, spidery legs. Then  eventually coming to a stop next to the Old dam, he started to walk slowly and carefully down the slope, checking I was behind him with every step. It was only then when I realised he was taking me to the 'hut', this was the only thing I could think of. But when he got to the bottom of the dam he kept on going past the track up the hill to the 'hut' then disappearing down the valley. I was having to sprint to catch up and went the wrong way a few times but Argo realised and got me back on track, taking me to this mysterious  place.

The four chipmunks

Swish went the trees in the meadow. Four Chipmunks were busily picking nuts off the
Hazelnut tree. The four Chipmunks Bella, Fawn, Milo and Fergus lived in this old tree
and every autumn they would pick the nuts off the tree and eat them after all their hard work.

“Yum, I can't wait to eat the Hazelnuts after
we picked them,” said Fergus.  “Yes, I'm starving,” said Fawn.  "Same here,” said Milo
from the other side of the tree. "Me too,” said Bella.

After they had finished picking the nuts they were all sitting down on a tree branch and eating the biggest Hazelnut they could each find. "Yum," said Milo “,fresh hazelnuts from the Hazelnut tree.”

"We did quite a good job today,” said Fawn. "We did a very good job indeed."

The Viking

My friend and I were looking at a carving then suddenly, zoom!
“Hey what was that?”
“Camdog!”
“It wasn't me.”
“Then what was it?” Flash!
“Did you see that? It looked like it was going as fast as a speed of light!” “Don't say made up words!”
“But it wasn't made up! Maybe it was just a reflection of the sun, but…”
“No buts!”

We go inside.
“Grandad” I say. “Camdog thought he saw something going at the speed of light!”
Grandad grins. “What's with the face grandad?”
“I guess it's time I tell you. One day when I was about your age my brother and I  made a potion to make people as fast and as strong as lightning. We gave it to someone, they call him The Viking.  He is called the Viking because he was from the Viking tribe to the west a little. We made a deal. That is the reason why we have never been attacked, because he has been defending us. Some people even call this place haunted! He hates being told what to do.”
‘How do you know that,” said Cameron.
“Because he's my brother. He has been defending us since you were about 1.”
“I have to tell you something that I should have told you a long time ago... I'm a spy.”
“Say what!?” said camdog, “Ok, then prove it”.
“Do I have to?”
“Yes, why, oh you’re not a spy, are you?”
“Ok then. Oh Bob the Viking…”

5 minutes later
“Yes sir, what can I help you with?”
“Could you prove to the kids that I'm a spy?”
“Yes sir.”
“Anyway it's time for bed.”
“Good night Grandpa.”
“Good night.” That night a medieval spy took Bob far away never to be seen again…the next morning the furniture was wrecked and the food was gone!
“Who is responsible for this!” said Grandpa. “Not me,” said Cameron.
“Not me,” said camdog.
“Then who was it? Wait a second... Bob! Come out, come out, wherever you are! Oh no! It must have been Roger my arch nemesis”.

THE FEARFUL RIDE

We were going to Auckland in 2 hours because we had some guests from India, and my family was showing them around. Once we arrived in Auckland me and my family got a rental car. After that we went to a 4-and-a-half-star hotel, we put luggage in our rooms, then we left the hotel and went to Kelly tartan which is a aquarium. After that we went to below zero, everything was made out of ice. It was 7 o clock so we had dinner. We went back to our hotel after dinner. The next day we went to Rainbows End. Rainbows End is a place with loads of rides. I was scared of one the rides. It was a ride where you had to go up slowly and fast down. My cousin from India encouraged me. It was finally over and it wasn't that bad. The ride felt like I was about to die. By the way, the ride was called Fear Fall.

The Giant Lizard

In 2013 I went to White Water World in Gold Coast, Australia with my family and nana & uncle. Me and my uncle decided to go on a ride. On the way, we walked past a bush & a green scaled, almost 1metre long lizard jumped out in front of us. It walked right through my legs and walked away. I felt like laughing so much and cracking up because it's scales were so soft.

My bravest moment at Woodend camp

I went to Woodend camp with my year 5 and 6 class in term 1, 2016. We were doing activities.  One of the activities was the flying fox which was this beam that when down. I was worried because it was high up. Also I have a fear of heights. But because I saw my brother Ryan do it I did it too and I had fun.

My first gymnastics competition

The time I felt brave was in 2013 when I competed in my first gymnastics competition. It was Canterbury champs at Olympia. I felt really nervous but in the end I felt really successful, even though me and Martin didn't get anything. I still felt happy even though I knew all of my routines (floor, pommel, high bar, parallel bar, rings and vault). I wasn't sure what I did wrong. Since then I have gone to many other competitions.

D-Day 6 June-1944-Omaha beach

I hear the machine gun fire bounce of the front of our boat. "This is it boys, you've trained your life for,” shouted Sgt Greg Jacob. Three minutes until we reach the beach. Suddenly massive German 88s open for our landing craft. The landing craft next to us has taken a direct hit. The doors open, mg42s release hell. 6 inch mortars join. I and a few fellow members of the 59th battalion have made it out of the water and onto the beach. We open fire onto enemy dugouts on top of the hill. The second wave of landing crafts are arriving. We push ford. I hear fellow soldiers screaming in pain. Then one of my best friends steps on a land mine and is blown up. I drop down onto my knees and start crying. Sgt Greg comes and says, "That's war for ya kiddo,” I stand up and move behind a dirt mound.

We are of the beach. I equip my scope and start picking of German infantry. Bang! Bang! Allied warships join in. We have been given a boost of confidence, but we couldn't rely on them to win. German flaks start firing on allied bombers. We have penetrated the enemy. We start clearing pill boxes. We have suffered 1000s of deaths. But we have received news, Nazi 6th panzer army are making their way through a town 5km away. A German 76mm opens fire. We are overrun by Nazis. Our Shermans are slowly coming with support fire. Then it drops silent. 1,2,3 hold! Aim! Fire! All I remember was Nazis. I was shot in the leg and left there in the cold mud for 3 hours straight. Then I hear, "This one’s alive!" I am taken to the allied hospital. And there I was told, “Jacob, your war is over.”

The day the world turned to chocolate

One peaceful evening a young girl decided to try and make up her own recipe for chocolate. She put cocoa and sugar into a bowl, then added some baking soda. But she thought it was too dry so she added a1/4 cup of white vinegar. She left it to set whilst she went and played outside. The baking soda and vinegar combined together and that's when it happened. The mixture fizzled over the edge of the bowl and down the counter top. It expanded in size and rolled down the stairs to the door claiming the house, then the street, and the suburb.

Before the girl knew it she was in the real life ‘Charlie and the chocolate factory!’ The world turned into chocolate. The streams turned into melted chocolate, the houses were made out of chocolate bars and makeup was cocoa. By then it was dark but that didn't stop the chocolate puddle! The little girl went to bed with a big grin on her face.

But the next day things turned bad. When the sun came out it melted all of the chocolate. By 11 o'clock the town was all melted and it began to flood. People evacuated but not because of the melting buildings, because they wanted to eat it and take selfies in a chocolate flood. By lunch everything was melted. People evacuated and climbed to safety but there was no point. Buildings were melting but people were trying to get planes’ attention by waving on top of buildings.

A few hours later some helicopters flew in grabbing survivors from high buildings and lifting them to safety. They brought in some helicopters with buckets attached to attempt to lower down the flood.

A few days later it was all people could talk about. It was on newspapers, on billboards, and on the news but people were just happy that it was over.

The Clown part 2

The next morning the mother walked into the boy's room and found him dead on the ground with a balloon beside him, and a note tied on it. The mum walked to the note and unfolded it, the note said, “You are next.” Mum was so scared and confused so she screwed up the note and threw it in the bin, and went down stairs to watch some t.v.

That night she was lying in her bed thinking if it was the clown. Suddenly she heard a very scary voice saying, “Would you like a balloon?” She thought that it was the t.v so she went downstairs and had a look in the living room but the t.v was off! She ran back into her room and hid under the bed but then she heard the same voice, “Would you like a balloon?” She wishes it was all a dream but it wasn't, it was real life. She ran to the boy's room and started to cry. As her tears fell down she heart footsteps coming from the door getting louder and LOUDER and LOUDER………..
