The winter robber

By Charlotte Graham

Icy fingers gripped my arm in the darkness. This person picked me up then threw me back on my bed but I got a quick glance at him. He was dressed in full black with a beanie covering his entire face except his eyes and mouth. ROBBER! He walked out of the room and I heard noises of glass being thrown, smash and furniture being moved, creak and also a few little noises of stuff falling in a sack. ROBBER I thought once more.

The next morning I told the whole entire suburb. l told Sean, Amy and Tommy, Lil and Phill and Maddison and their parents and mine. We went looking around the suburb to find the robber’s house but there were no more houses but ours and there were no other suburbs in the quiet town we live in just some shops, some roads and a school. After another hour of searching for the house he might live in we met up again and decided to call it a night. We all told each other to stay awake or watch out for the robber, everyone agreed and we all went home and watched our backs for the rest of the night.
After a long night we all met up again to search for the actual robber since I knew what he looked like. We searched and searched and searched, we tried looking in the school, all the shops and even went to the next town to look but he was nowhere to be found. Where could he have gone? We all searched for another few hours and by the time it was 6:00pm we were all ready for bed but that wasn't happening because we had to watch our backs and guard our houses. We all couldn't believe it that we had searched for ten whole hours that day. After our huge big long chorus of wows and whoas we all went home and decided to search the next day.

It was our third and final day of searching and we were all
really determined to find the robber and certain we were going to. We searched for 3-4 hours when suddenly I spotted someone. He was standing by the open window of Maddison's house. He was also wearing the exact same clothes I saw. I pointed at him and yelled, "Get him, he's the Robber!”

Some of us chased to try and catch him while the parents called the police. The police arrived in 5 minutes and arrested the robber. Hurray we all felt safe.
